‘Tree surveys and tree safety – what schools need to know’
Alistair Godfrey, Ligna Consultancy
Schools have a legal duty of care to ensure that a reasonable attempt has been made to protect any person from incurring harm as a result of their property. If trees are not properly managed, they can develop problems that could present a risk of harm to the people around them. Ligna consultancy will talk us through how school estate managers can fully understand and meet this obligation by establishing a tree management strategy for their school sites.
