Darren has 20 years of experience in facilities management, 10 of which were within a local authority and its corporate landlord function. The most recent decade has been spent with Lingfield Education Trust (LET), a trust of 24 primary schools based in the northeast of England.
Initially joining LET when it was a family of six schools, he has overseen the deployment of new policies including PAT COSHH and a CAFM system. He has also developed the following; compliance and risk management, monitoring and reporting, premises inspections and a strategic capital investment / asset management plan. He has overseen several capital projects to enhance the learning environment.
Darren is passionate about using data to ensure effective and efficient compliance. He believes data should drive investment decisions to maximise value and savings.
Darren holds professional memberships and certifications including MIWFM (Member of the Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management) and TechIOSH (Technical Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health).
